We are pleased to announce that John Kirk, Lexdata Sydney Production Manager, was conferred the “Lifetime Membership Award” by the Network of In-house Print Professionals Australasia, NIPPA. The award recognises John’s outstanding experience, hard work, dedication and valuable contributions to the field.
Having an MBA and more than 25 years of experience in the Printing Industry, John has worked for prestigious corporations and performed as a technical adviser in numerous printing, copying and document management projects, including the development and implementation of National Training Package qualifications. John is also currently a Director of the ACFIPS Industry Training Advisory Board and a member of the Sector Advisory Committee for Innovation Business Skills Australia.
John was presented with the award as part of the 2011 NIPPA Conference held in Canberra from the 5th to 7th of October.

Lexdata is pleased to present a Legal Services Seminar on the topic of Cost Management within the Legal Practice.
Jacqueline Highfield, expert costs consultant from DG Thompson, will address legal cost management experience and strategies. In particular, Jacqueline will provide advice on current legal costing issues and discuss strategies to help reducing costs for legal processes.

Lexdata is proud to announce that we were the recipient of an award at the Reserves Employee Support Awards, held this week. Our business was recognised as a Supportive Employer of Australian Reservists at the ceremony. The awards, presented by the Parliamentary Secretary for Defence, Senator David Feeney, are designed to formally recognise employers of Reservists for being particularly supportive of Reserve service. “Managing Information Today and Tomorrow” was the theme for the annual Institute for Information Management (IIM) National Conference held in Canberra during 16 – 18 May 2011. This conference, sponsored by Lexdata, was part of Information Awareness Month (IAM) and included several workshops and presentation streams as well as the participation of important national and international speakers to discuss the present and evolution of the Information Management discipline.
Among the participants of the conference, Lexdata run a competition where the prize was a $50 donation to any charity of the winner’s choice. The happy winner was Wayne Finlaison, who donated the prize to the Royal Far West Children’s Hospital in Manly, a charity that provides healthcare services to children who live in rural and remote areas of NSW.

This is the second opportunity Lexdata has had to participate in this important event, whose theme for this year is "Information overload: Finding the tree in the digital forest".
